Take A Look Around Our Albany House!
September 4th, 2025
Looking for some colour
inspiration or need to know what the best paint finish is? Let’s explore how we
used Albany to transform this unloved house into one the new owners can be
proud of!
The Hallway
Looking to create a great first impression?
This once dark and sad hallway needed some freshness, so we decided to embrace the coastal theme.
Using Swanshill White and Larling, we were able to brighten the whole area whilst adding interest with a two-tone look.
We also used a paintable Anaglypta textured wallpaper and Orac wall mouldings and painted them in Larling to add an extra bit of detail.
The Lounge
What better way to feel relaxed than in a cosy country setting!
We combined the traditional sage green, Firle, with Carmella Check in Green from the Albany Napoli wallpaper collection.
The trim and ceiling have also been painted in Wivenhoe to make the space feel even warmer, creating a cosy and fresh country scheme.
The Kitchen
Replacing a kitchen can be costly, especially when the cabinetry is in great condition.
A great way to
update this space is to incorporate a fresh new colour on the walls and maybe
even some wallpaper.
We took the archway into a small utility space as the perfect opportunity to introduce some pattern, choosing the bright and utterly charming Ponderosa in Teal from the Albany Wonderland collection.
This paired beautifully with Freshfield on the walls that was chosen to complement the existing tiles.
Albany Durable Matt was
the top choice for the kitchen as it scrubbable, 500x stronger than a standard
matt emulsion and has a beautiful depth of colour.
The Downstairs W/C
This is the ideal place to add some fun and create an unexpected moment of joy in the home.
We used Tales
Of The Manor in blue from the Albany Wonderland collection which features some
charming characters to discover.
The Bedroom
Keeping the space neutral, we chose Albany Seaford, which is a soothing, pastel green.
The bedroom benefitted from beautiful southern light, so we chose a pastel colour to balance the warmth.
Custom shutters were also installed from the Brewers Made To Measure Service which effectively controls the natural light that comes into the space as well as adding a level of privacy.
