As long-standing supporters of Challengers, we were of course thrilled to be able to provide decorating materials to refresh the Challengers site in Guildford.
Nick Adams, Partnerships Manger at Challengers commented “2023 has seen Brewers donate a large amount of paint and equipment to Challengers that was needed to make sure our children have bright, fun spaces to play and make friends. The projects undertaken so far this year include:
- Complete redecoration of the interior of our Guildford Playcentre, that definitely was in need of some urgent TLC.
- The decoration of our new Hub service that is a welcoming place for families to access a multitude of information and break down some of the barriers that may prevent families from asking for help and support.
- The decoration of our outdoor sensory area in the new Guildford playground.
- And Guildford pre-school's shed in their allotment area now has a fresh bright orange coat of paint – very much keeping in line with Challengers branding.
Thank you to everyone at Brewers for being an amazing part of the Team Orange family, we truly appreciate everything you have done and continue to do.”
Challengers is a charity dedicated to
providing inclusive play for children and young people and Brewers has worked with them for over a decade, providing financial
support and materials to maintain essential buildings and equipment.
The charity was established in 1979, to provide swimming classes for a small number of disabled children in Guildford. Challengers has now grown to support more than 1,000 young people aged 2–18 across 14 locations.
The renewed spaces look fantastic, and we can’t wait to see them in use!
