Dec the Halls - winners announced!

We received over 200 photos of your redecorated hallways, stairs and landings for our Dec the Halls competition. We’ve enjoyed taking a sneak peak at your work but we could only select 6 lucky winners from the incredible entries - 1 first prize winner and 5 runners up.

First Place - Jordan Mawer

Jordan told us that the photos don’t do this project justice – we’d love to see it with our own eyes! Jordan redecorated this stunning 3-storey Victorian hallway, stairs and landing. His work has demonstrated a high level of skill in preparation, painting, wallpapering and woodcare which is why we have selected Jordan as our First Place winner. Jordan will receive £500 worth of Brewers Decorator Centres and a tin of Albany Durable Matt, tinted colour, 5L.

Runner up – Jo Pollock

Four floors worth of hall, stairs and landing were redecorated by Jo Pollock from Ladies Who Paint. A vast space re-plastered in places, lined and painted using trade paints to create this beautiful entrance.

Runner up – Julie Britz-Mclean

We were really pleased to see the coupling of two strong trends in this entry – painting with tape and copper. Julie has created this dynamic hallway using Frog tape, paint and copper spray.

Runner up – Chris Kerfoot

Chris used his Graco 9.5 HVLP spray machine to complete this project for one of his customers. We’re seeing professional decorators using spray machines for jobs like these more often, so we were delighted to see how well Chris had completed this one. 

Runner up – Sarah Higgs

What an entrance! A mixture of exotic pattern and bold colour, this entry really stood out.   Sarah has used a combination of brands to complete this look including, Emma Shipley, Paint and Paper Library and Farrow and Ball.

Runner up – Sandra Baker

This entry spoke for itself! The amalgamation of pattern, colour and texture instantly caught our attention. The decor is bold, imaginative and brave. A real treat to look at.

Each runner up will receive a tin of Albany Durable Matt, tinted colour, 5L, a bottle of bubbly and a Brewers t-shirt.
