Providing Materials For Dingley’s Promise Brand New Sensory Room

April 22nd, 2025

The Brewers Foundation were delighted to donate a range of decorating supplies to decorate an exciting new space at one of Dingley’s Promise Specialist Nursery Settings.

Dingley’s Promise works with children under 5 with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Their aim is to give each child the best start in life, so that they can reach their potential and live as rich and as independent lives as possible.

They combine specialist ‘Learning Through Play’ sessions for the children with a Family Support Outreach Programme which helps the families of both centre children and other families of children with SEND in the local communities.

Dingley’s Promise approached Brewers during the process of creating a new sensory room within their Southampton nursery, needing materials to decorate the area once the walls had been built.

The Sensory Room will provide a vital space in which children who have a wide range of sensory needs can access and regulate their emotions when they are feeling anxious and unsettled. It will also provide a wonderful learning environment for the children.

The space also features specialist sensory equipment that over 20 children from the nursery can now enjoy each week and a space for future children supported at the centre to also enjoy.
