Supporting Festive Fundraising In Eastbourne
December 23rd, 2024
The Brewers Foundation were thrilled
to support fundraising in Eastbourne, raising money for some worthy causes
during the festive season. Don and Abby McPhee reached out to Brewers to sponsor
three local events that the local community could also get involved with.
For Children in Need, Don and Abby
hosted an official fundraiser at Eastbourne Town Hall, with students from local
schools and colleges taking part in a whole host of entertainment! There was
also a giant raffle featuring wonderful prizes that were donated by local
businesses…Pudsey himself even made an appearance! A grand total of £4,000 was
raised for Children in Need that will go to a range of good causes that support
young people and their families in the UK and beyond.
On
the 14th of December, the Christmas Charity Party Night featured a
range of entertainment, a raffle and festive refreshments, all in aid of St
Wilfred’s Hospice. The hospice is dedicated to enabling
people in Eastbourne, Seaford, Hailsham, Uckfield and Heathfield to live well
at the end of life. The event has been running for seven years and has always
been a huge success, with this year being the best yet!
Also
running for 7 years, Don and Abby will be holding a Father Christmas Special in
the local shopping centre, where school pupils come together to sing Christmas
carols. This year they will be raising money for the Eastbourne Mayor's
Charities, Chaseley Trust and Leaf Hall Mental Health.
Don and Abby have been fundraising for
13 years and in that time have raised an incredible £380,000 for local
families, local and national charities. It was a pleasure to be able to support
these events and we can’t wait to see what Don and Abby have in store next
year!
