Brewers Exeter’s Paint Donation to Julian House

August 18th, 2021

Brewers Exeter donated a wide range of paints to Julian House, a charity supporting vulnerable and at-risk individuals across the South West of England.

Every year, Julian House supports over 1,800 vulnerable people through the operation of over forty different projects, accommodation sites and social enterprises across the South West. Some of these services include homeless outreach services, a twenty-bed access hostel, an assortment of supported accommodation sites and a domestic abuse refuge.

Multiple training programmes are also coordinated to help people regain confidence and learn new work skills to be able to get back into education, work, or volunteering. Julian House wants to build a just society where socially excluded people are supported and empowered to build sustainable, independent lives.

‘These donations represent kindness to our community as many people can’t afford the luxury of decorating their homes. We are trying to provide not only a roof for our clients but a safe place where they feel at ‘home’.’

As a result of COVID, Julian House is preparing additional supported accommodation for people to move from emergency accommodation to more secure and stable housing. Brewers Exeter were more than happy to donate the paint required to make some of the properties more suitable, and to redecorate some of the older properties too.
