Exciting Prizes up for Grabs at the Brighton and Hove Soiree Rotary Club Midsummer Auction

Brewers are thrilled to be supporting the MND association with a fantastic prize draw to win a holiday for 6 in a Parkdean Holiday Lodge as a part of the Brighton and Hove Soiree Rotary Club’s Midsummer Auction. The online auction will raise vital funds to support local research into Motor Neurone Disease and care for patients in the community. 

The Brighton and Hove Soiree Rotary Club is delighted to be launching a Midsummer Online Auction to raise funds for two important local charities supporting people with Motor Neurone Disease (MND). Motor Neurone Disease is a neurological condition that can affect any one of us at any time.  In fact, in the UK, six people are diagnosed each day and sadly six people die each day.  The cause is unknown and as yet there is no cure.

Funds raised will be distributed to the MNDA (East Sussex branch) - supporting people across the region with an MND diagnosis and Martlets Hospice - the local charity supporting those with terminal illness and their loved ones, as well as B&H Soiree Rotary with its long-held tradition of distributing funds to both local and international charities.  

The online auction is now live and will run until 3 July. The auction committee has been overwhelmed with the response from celebrities, businesses, and individuals across Sussex and further afield that have kindly donated a raft of ‘money can’t buy’ items.

Christine Wicks is a member of the B&H Soiree Rotary Club and has inspired the auction committee to partner with the local charities to deliver this exciting event. “Raising funds for these important causes is very close to my heart. I sadly lost my husband to MND in 2018. It was a heart-breaking time for me, all the family and our friends. We were so grateful for the unwavering support of our local MND Association as well as the care that was provided by Martlets. I am humbled by the people that have generously donated prizes; there is so much variety and so much fun to be had bidding, whilst helping to raise much needed funds for these two charities.”
