Supporting the Tradespeople of Tomorrow

Regional Manager and Area Development Manager for the South East, James Gillespie and Shayne McCosh were delighted to be judges for the KFE4Skills competition. 

KFE4Skills is the annual skills competition and showcase of the three colleges covering Kent and Medway's twelve main campus sites. 

At KFE4Skills, everyone gains a competition certificate and the finalists can even go forward to be selected to enter the regional and national World Skills UK competitions as a representative of one of Kent Further Education (KFE) colleges. 

It’s a fantastic opportunity for students to gain real life experience, being able to enhance their CVs for career development. 

For the painting and decorating part of the competition, James and Shayne presented the winners with a £100, £75 and £25 Brewers voucher to top up their supplies. 

They also gave out many freebies including T-shirts, hats, lid lifters and paint stirrers so everybody was a winner really!

James and Shayne have had the opportunity to meet with students, sponsors and teachers from both Canterbury College and East Kent College during their competitions:
