The Big Sleep Out 2022

On the 18th of November people from Brewers took part in The Big Sleep Out 2022, an annual fundraising challenge organised by Off The Fence, a local charity based in Brighton committed to offering hope and support to the homeless in the area.

Brighton & Hove is one of the highest ratio rough sleeper cities in the UK and with the cost of living climbing daily, this shows no sign of getting any better. 

The Big Sleep Out is an opportunity for people to experience what life can be like for rough sleepers and to raise money to help us help them off the streets. Off The Fence help so many get back on track to the kind of normal life the rest of us take for granted.

Over 100 people came together in a night of sleeping out. They turned up at St Peter’s Church in Brighton on what was a dry but blustery night, with sleeping bags and cardboard boxes to build shelters, ready to do their bit.
