Crown Trade Aluminium Wood Primer is a high VOC content finish and is applied by brush, roller or spray.
Do not apply when air or substrate temperatures are likely to fall below 8°C or when the relative humidity is above 80% during application or the drying period.

Additional information
For Interior and Exterior use. Crown Trade Aluminium Wood Primer is designed for interior and exterior priming of hardwoods, resinous softwoods and wood treated with wood preservatives.
Preparation
Ensure all surfaces are sound, dry, clean and free from dirt, oil, grease or other contamination. Glasspaper smooth and finely round off sharp edges. Dust off. Any grey or denatured timber will need sanding back to a clean smooth surface.
For resinous woods and hardwoods remove any natural oil from the surface with White Spirit.
Treat knots and resinous parts with Patent Knotting.
Avoid the inhalation of dust. Use a suitable face mask if dry sanding.

Application
Stir thoroughly. Crown Trade Aluminium Wood Primer should be applied liberally and evenly by brush.
Do not apply when air or substrate temperatures are likely to fall below 8°C or in high humidity.
Spreading Capacity
Up to 13m² per litre on smooth surface.
Drying
Touch Dry in 3-5 hours.
Overcoatable after 16 hours.
Cleaning
All brushes and equipment should be cleaned with White Spirit immediately after use.
Transportation and Storage
Warning: Pressure may develop in the tin during storage and care should be exercised when opening.
Ensure this pack is stored upright and secure at all times. Crown Paints Ltd cannot accept liability for damage caused by spillage. Protect this pack from temperatures below 5°C or above 40°C.
