Dulux Trade Cladshield is for exterior use on plastisol coated and coil cladded buildings. 

A tough and highly durable product that is suitable for application over previously coated and weathered clad surfaces. 

Application is by brush, roller or spray with coverage up to 17sq/m per litre. Recoatable between 4-6 hours.

Surface Preparation

Minimum surface preparation: Thoroughly clean the surface to remove dirt, grease and chalk. High pressure water jet or scrubbing manually are not recommended when re-coating existing Cladshield from Dulux Trade coatings.

Treat any areas affected by mould, lichens and algae with a suitable fungicidal wash.

Remove any poorly adhering or defective Plastisol and PVF2 coatings and manually or mechanically prepare bared surfaces to remove all contamination and corrosion.

Special precautions should be taken during surface preparation of pre-1960s paint surfaces over wood and metal as they may contain harmful lead.

Application

  • Brush, roller, conventional spray or airless spray.
  • Do not use in extremes of temperature (below 10ºC) or during rain, fog or relative humidity above 80%.

Cleaning up

After use, remove as much product as possible from equipment before cleaning with water.
