Johnstone's Trade Eggshell is a high VOC content eggshell finish. A washable oil based product that is applied by brush or roller and is suitable for interior use. Recoatable after 16-24 hours. 
Eggshell is a tough, durable mid sheen finish for wood and metal. Can be applied over most previously painted surfaces without an undercoat. On new surfaces apply over the top of a suitable primer.

Preparation
All surfaces to be painted should be clean, dry and free from loose and flaking material. Prime bare surfaces with the appropriate Johnstone's primer. Rub down previously painted surfaces with fine waterproof abrasive paper and rinse thoroughly. Avoid the inhalation of dust. Wear a suitable face mask if dry sanding. Special precautions should be taken during surface preparation of pre-1960's paint surfaces over wood and metal as they may contain harmful lead.

Application
Stir well. Easy to apply by brush or roller. Do not apply over polystyrene surfaces. If more than one can of a colour is to be used in the same area, intermix before use.

Coverage
Johnstone's Eggshell will cover approximately 20 sq. metres per litre depending on the nature and porosity of the surface being painted.
