Johnstone's Trade Stormshield Stabilising Solution is a high VOC content finish. Applied by brush or roller and is suitable for exterior use. 
Binds friable or chalking surfaces to produce a surface suitable for further decoration.

Suitable for use on concrete, cement rendering, brick, stone, blockwork and pebble dash. Recoatable after 16-24 hours.

Surface Preparation

All surfaces to be stabilised should be clean, dry and free from loose and flaking material.

Repair cracks and defective areas and treat fungal or algal growth with Johnstones Sterilisation Wash as directed.

Wear a suitable face mask when creating dust.

Application

  • Stir well before use.
  • Easy to apply by brush or roller.
  • Suitable for use under pliolite.

Apply one coat of Stabilising Solution liberally to a small test area. If this dries to a glossy film, thin with a small quantity of White Spirit to two parts of Stabilising Solution and then test again on another small area. If a glossy film still results, try a blend of equal parts of White Spirit and Stabilising Solution.

It is important to ensure that a non-glossy, dried sealed surface is produced.

Clearing Up

Remove as much product as possible from application equipment before cleaning. Replace lid firmly.

Clean equipment immediately after use with White Spirit or Turpentine Substitute.

Do not empty product into drains or watercourses.
