Wall Glaze is a water-based, clear glaze product which is suitable for interior use. Wall Glaze is acrylic and VOC free and is specially formulated for its environment benefits. Ideal for use before painting to stabilize powdery, sandy interior surfaces.
Apply on top of Ecopro Emulsion or Claypaint to produce a protective and washable glaze. When diluted and used as a glaze coverage is up to 50 square metres per litre.

Earthborn Wall Glaze is a water based, transparent glare for interior use. It provides a breathable, washable, protective glaze for walls painted in Earthborn Claypaint or Ecopro Matt Emulsion. It can be used to stabilise powdery coatings prior to painting. Mixed with Earthborn Pigment it is also suitable for decorative work like sponging, marbling or as a colour wash.
Preparation
To get the best from Earthborn Wall Glaze make sure all surfaces are clean, dry and free from grease or other contamination. Stir well before use.
Application
- As a protective glaze: Protect painted surfaces with a mix of Earthborn Wall Glaze and water (recommended ratio 1 part Wall Glaze to 3 parts water). Apply a thin, even coat by brush, roller or spray. For added protection apply a second coat.
- As a stabiliser: Stabilise powdery coatings like lime wash or distemper with a mix of Earthborn Wall Glaze and water (recommended ratio 1 part Wall Glaze to 1 part water). Apply a thin, even coat by brush, roller or spray.
- For decorative effects: First make a solution of Earthborn Pigment by adding approximately 100ml of water to the desired quantity of Pigment and leave to soak for up to 30 minutes. Mix the resultant solution with more water if required then add Earthborn Wall Glaze (recommended ratio 1 part Wall Glaze to 4 parts solution). Previously glossed or varnished surfaces must be thoroughly sanded prior to application. Avoid the inhalation of dust. Wear a suitable face mask if dry sanding. Apply using a sponge, brush or other desired effect.
