Blackfriars Quick Drying Metal Paint Gloss is a very high VOC content gloss finish. An oil based interior and exterior product which is applied by brush. Touch dry in 2-4 hours and recoatable after 16 hours. 
Gloss is a tough, durable high sheen finish for wood and metal, providing good resistance to knocking and scuffing. 

Can be applied over most previously painted surfaces without an undercoat. On new surfaces apply over the top of a suitable primer and undercoat.

Additional Information

Preparation
Ensure surface to be coated is clean, dry, sound and free from wax, grease or any other contamination. Previously painted surfaces in sound condition should be abraded and degreased prior to direct application of Blackfriar Quick Drying Metal Paint. Remove any rust and abrade back to a clean bright surface before priming with Blackfriar Anti-Rust Primer. New or other bare surfaces should be primed with the appropriate Blackfriar Primer. No undercoat is necessary. Galvanised metal should be degreased and primed with Blackfriar Multi-Surface Primer.

Application
Stir thoroughly prior to use with a broad stirrer. The product may be applied by brush, roller or spray. Two coats are recommended to give best protection.

Thinning
Not recommended.

Limitations
Do not use under cold (less than 5°C), damp or humid conditions. For full fuel / oil resistance allow to dry for at least 3 days before use. Blackfriar Quick Drying Metal Paint in Silver is not resistant to petrol, fuel oil or brake fluid. Not suitable for direct application to galvanised metal, use Blackfriar Multi-Surface Primer first.

Coverage
Up to 14m² per litre per coat.

Drying Time
Touch dry in 2 - 4 hours. Recoat after 16 hours and within 3 days. Drying times are based on an ambient temperature of 20°C and 50% relative humidity. Lower temperatures or higher humidity will prolong the drying and overcoating times.

Clean Up
Remove as much product as possible from application equipment before washing with white spirit. Do not empty into drains or water courses. Some local authorities have special facilities for the disposal of waste coatings.

Storage
Store in a dry, safe place. Do not store in environments where extreme temperatures may occur. Keep within 5-30°C. Do not store in direct sunlight.
