Blackfriars Red Oxide Metal Primer is a high VOC content finish. Applied by brush and is suitable for both interior and exterior use. 

Touch dry in 2-4 hours and recoatable after 16-24 hours.

Surface Preparation

Ensure the surface to be coated is clean, dry, sound and free from wax, grease or any other contamination. Remove any rust and abrade or wire brush back to a clean bright surface before application.

Application

  • Stir thoroughly prior to use with a broad stirrer.
  • Can be applied by brush, roller or spray.
  • For best results apply by brush, working the paint into the surface profile.
  • Apply two coats as required.
  • Thinning - Not recommended.

Clean Up

Remove as much product as possible from the application equipment before washing with white spirit.

Do not empty into drains or water courses. Some local authorities have special facilities for the disposal of waste coatings.
