In detail

This product can produce semi-transparent colour paint effects when an acrylic glaze is coloured with satin or matt emulsion/latex paints. 

For wear and water resistance, allow a minimum of 48 hours before protecting with Polyvine Decorators Varnish.

Ideal for stippling, ragging/bagging, colour washing, dragging or sponging.

Surface Preparation

Seal porous surfaces. Ensure Classic Colour is well mixed. Apply the base coat in vinyl silk emulsion / satin latex and allow to dry. The second coat is preferably matt emulsion (satin can be used) in the selected colour mixed with Classic Colour.

Application

  • Warm Conditions / Low Humidity: (above 20°C/70°F) - Six parts Classic Colour - One part emulsion / latex.
  • Cool Conditions / High Humidity: (below 20°C/70°F) - Four parts Classic Colour - One part emulsion / latex.
  • Ratios may be varied to suit application conditions and changes in temperature/humidity.
  • Brush the mixture liberally over the base coat. Large areas such as walls should be divided into sections to keep a workable edge.

Clean Up

Clean tools/equipment with warm soapy water, rinse well with clean water, and allow to dry naturally.
