London and South East Family Business of the Year 2019

Family businesses from across the UK gathered at the prestigious The May Fair Hotel on June 6, to celebrate family companies and the contribution they make to the business community and the UK economy at the National Family Business of the Year Awards (‘FBOTY’).

We are very proud to announce that Brewers Decorator Centres were awarded the Family Business of the Year award for the London and South East Region! The company’s family culture and commitment to supporting local communities and charitable organisations were just some of the reasons Brewers were selected.

The organisers of the awards, Family Business United, are just one of the organisations that champion family businesses and recognise the importance and unique qualities that family businesses bring. With around 5 million family firms in the UK providing around 12 million jobs and generating a significant contribution to GDP, these national awards certainly help to put the family business sector on the map and give them the recognition they deserve.

Among the winners from a variety of awards was St Austell Brewery who was crowned Supreme Champion at the FBOTY. Paul Andrews, Founder and Managing Director of Family Business United explained: “St Austell Brewery is a fantastic family firm and is highly deserving of all the plaudits that winning this award brings."
