Minstead Trust Hanger Farm Art Centre

July 16th, 2020

A wonderful space that deserves a revamp!

‘We would like to thank Brewers for their very generous donation of paint which is very much needed to allow us to invite in a Corporate Volunteering Team to undertake the painting of Hanger Farm Arts Centre. .’

Minstead Trust are a fantastic charity who support people with learning disabilities in Hampshire and provides a range of day opportunities, residential provision and supported living.

Hanger Farm Art centre is a fabulous performance arts venue at the edge of the New Forest, allowing Minstead Trust to run an exciting programme consisting of comedy, dance and art exhibitions to name just a few!

Hanger Farm is invaluable in that the centre allows accessible arts to be showcased alongside mainstream entertainment that is affordable and inclusive, bringing everybody together through the love of the arts. The centre also provides training and employment opportunities for people with learning disabilities as well as giving everybody the opportunity to volunteer in a fantastic space.

Unfortunately, the trust has been impacted heavily by Covid-19 as the centre has had to remain closed since lockdown began, and the centre's exterior was in desperate need of a repaint.

Brewers Shirley were happy to help and donated 40L of Sadolin Classic Ebony paint and 15 Albany paint brushes to give the exterior a new lease of life.

We can't wait to see the finished results and will be sure to keep you posted!

David Watson of Minstead Trust commented, "We actively encourage partnership working with the business community and our relationship with Brewers is very much an example of the Trust working with the community focused activities of Brewers, directly helping a charity which improves the lives of adults with learning disabilities across greater Hampshire"
