Willingdon's Seasonal Project

August 23rd, 2019

With the long summer days of play drawing to a close and the fresh bloom of spring fading into a distant memory the students of  Willingdon Primary School banded together to transform their playground.  With the help of the Decorators Warehouse in Eastbourne the students of Willingdon were able to undergo a much needed makeover of the playground wall in order to keep their beloved seasons alive all year round!

Thanks to a generous donation of masonry paints by the Decorators Warehouse in Eastbourne, the students of Willingdon Primary school were able to bring to life their artistic vision, giving the brick wall surrounding their outdoor learning environment a fresh buzz of colour with 100 litres of our DWP masonry paint.

Every student got involved with the design and painting of the mural during the school’s activity week and collectively agreed on a design that would shift gradually through the seasons, beginning in early spring and transitioning to the end of summer. The students decided to place seasonal flowers, bees and butterflies at the heart of their design to bring to life the colours of the seasons.

Working in close contact with the Decorators Warehouse in Eastbourne, we made sure to accommodate the vast variety of colours and equipment the students needed for the exterior project thanks to Brewers wide variety of products available in store and online.

It’s safe to say the project turned out to be a great success! Branch Manager, Andy Browning, was so pleased to be able to support the local school in a project so close to his heart, with his two grandchildren being former pupils of Willingdon Primary School. We’re especially pleased to hear that the kids were left feeling very proud of their achievement, as they should be, and something that we love hear from our ever growing Brewers community!
