Meet the Designer: Kerrie Griffin

Proud Decorator, Kerrie Griffin has been an interior designer for over 25 years, as well as a contemporary artist for over 35 years. Kerrie founded her business The Interior Co. over a decade ago with the ambition to help make houses feel like homes. From project management to coaching, Kerrie prides herself in offering a service most suitable to her clients. After winning our Proud Decorator competition on Instagram we absolutely loved her unique style!

Kerrie’s favourite interior design style is country modern, a simple yet elegant twist on a traditional country scheme. Taking inspiration from design styles such as The Hamptons, vintage, shabby chic and industrial, the look creates a real relaxing and sophisticated tone to any space. Warm whites and neutral paint schemes are key to creating a country modern look combined with a range of different textures and patterns.

When asked about her favourite project and winning Proud Decorator, Kerrie said, “There are many projects, but I have worked on some incredible period homes including my own that is 500 years old, which I am currently selling after taking 15 years to complete! Winning Proud Decorator felt very good indeed…I think it is a wonderful idea!”
