Brewers Takes Part in the Million Mile Clean!

June 10th, 2021

Surfers Against Sewage have introduced a campaign which targets 100,000 volunteers to get out and clean the places they love throughout the year of 2021.

After over a year of isolation and social distancing, the Million Mile Clean was put in place to reconnect communities with the environment whilst promoting the benefits of volunteering for both our physical and mental health. Now more than ever, it is crucial for us all to reconnect with the outdoors and the Million Mile Clean provides an opportunity for you to prioritise your health whilst also creating a positive impact on your environment.

The team from our Loughborough store took part in the first Brewers Million Mile Clean on Sunday 23rd May, another will be taking place in Eastbourne in July.

The Loughborough team cleaned at Watermead Country Park, a network of beautiful lakes, woodlands and nature reserves which is home to wetland wildlife and enjoyed by nature lovers, walkers and families. They contributed approximately two miles to the Million Mile Clean and we are looking forward to our second Brewers Beach Clean in Eastbourne next month. If you want to get involved with an upcoming clean, all you need to do is find a location near you on the map, pop the details in your calendar and show up on the day, it's as easy as that!
