Guildford Grand Opening

The Guildford Training Centre Open Day event takes place on Tuesday 30th June from 10am-4pm. Celebrate the opening of the new centre and find out more about our courses and the space.

Our brand-new purpose-built training centre has space for sessions of ten people to develop their painting and decorating skills and is located directly above the Brewers store in Guildford.

We’ll be welcoming everyone with refreshments from Busy Bee coffee van at 10am with the official opening due to take place at 10.30am. Guided tours of the space will run from 10.30am until 3pm and there will be live spray demonstrations at 11am, 12pm and 2pm.

No need to register, just turn up. We can’t wait to see you there!

Please be aware there's very limited parking outside the store so do car share or use public transport where possible. There is public parking a short walk away at the Ladysmead retail park.

What Is The Brewers Decorator Academy?

The Brewers Decorator Academy provides painting and decorating courses for tradespeople and those looking to build their career in the painting and decorating industry. We currently have a training centre in Wolverhampton, and this second centre will open in Guildford on Tuesday 30th June.

Tristan Oliver, Head of Learning and Development at Brewers, said: ‘We want our purpose-built training centre to support the decorators of the future. We can give you the skillset needed to start your own business or develop your existing skills so you can take on bigger jobs. We’re looking to work with community partners to offer the space to apprentices completing their end point assessments and to large contractors looking to upskill their team. Come along to our open day to chat to the team and find out more.’
