Proud Supporters Of Poole Athletic Club

The Brewers Foundation were delighted to support Poole Athletic Club with the donation of decorating supplies to give their building a much-needed refresh.

Hammerite Direct to Rust Metal Paint, Sadolin Extra Durable Clearcoat Satin, Dulux Trade Vinyl Matt Magnolia, Prodec Trojan Brushes and Rollers were all donated to the club to be used inside and out of their training facilities.

Poole Athletic Club has existed for more than 100 years to serve the athletes of the area, featuring a range of activities including road running, cross country and track & field Leagues. 

The Poole Athletic Club is now supported by Team Dorset Athletics Network who are celebrating their 10^th anniversary in 2025.

Everyone from the age 8 upwards is welcome at the club, irrespective of ability. 

The non-profit, volunteer run club provide qualified coaches, encouragement and a friendly atmosphere, and are committed to supporting all aspiring athletes and runners in the development of their athletic talent and running fitness. 

Here are just a few examples of the achievements at the club:

• 1 athlete competed for Team GB in the women’s 1500m final of the World Athletics Championships in Hungary.
• 1 athlete competed at the European Junior Championships in Israel for Team GB 
• 1 athlete competed for Great Britain at the World XC Championships in Australia 
• 1 athlete competed for Great Britain in the World Student Games Cross Country in Oman 
• 1 athlete competed for England in the Commonwealth Youth Games in Trinidad 
• 2 athletes competed for England Juniors in International Cross Country fixtures 
• 9 athletes competed for Dorset at the English Schools Track & Field Championships 
• 1 wheelchair athlete competed internationally in the World Para Grand Prix Fixture
• 4 athletes were selected for The Southwest at the London Mini Marathon 2024 
• Several athletes competed in their age group for GB in Bi-athele and Modern Pentathlon 
• 1 athlete was selected for England Juniors in an International 10k Road Race in Italy 
• 1 athlete represented England in the GB Masters Half Marathon Championships

Junior Chairman at the club, Mark Pauley said “Thanks very much to Brewers for the support with this project, we are very grateful for it! It is nice to be able to give the facilities a spruce up to celebrate its 10th birthday. A huge thank you to the staff at Brewers Poole and the amazing volunteers who gave up their Easter break to carry out the work ”
