The Eastbourne Soapbox Race Is Back!

Brewers were so excited to be able to support regular Soapbox attendees, Fools Running once again for the annual Eastbourne Soapbox Race. The event encourages Eastbourne locals to build their very own soapbox to race in aid of a good cause and this year Fools Running came in 6th place!

Starting from Dukes Drive and along the seafront to Helen Gardens, spectators had the chance to watch the fantastic soapbox creations try to make it all the way through the course whilst staying in one piece. Fools Running covered the course in a speedy 39 seconds!

Brewers were thrilled to sponsor Fools Running who took part in the race in support of Keep Me Breathing, a charity who are working relentlessly to make breakthroughs in research, get treatments faster and find a cure for Children with Congenital Central Hypoventilation Syndrome (CCHS), who require lifelong mechanical life support via ventilation to keep them breathing during sleep, and in some cases, when awake.

We donated 5L of Albany Gloss and made a £250 donation to the charity, with Fools Running almost reaching £1,000 raised for Keep Me Breathing! A huge congratulations to the team and we can’t wait to see next year’s race!
