When All Saints C Of E Primary
School approached Brewers Lewisham with a budget of £240 to transform the walls
of their playground, Branch Manager, Jeff, was determined to make sure they got
all the decorating equipment they needed.
Before
Donating 45L of Albany Smooth
Matt Masonry and heavily discounting a further 15L and sundries, Jeff was able
to get all the supplies needed within the £240 that was raised for the project.
After!
“As a parent and volunteer, I can say hand on heart we would not have been able to do it without the generous donation from Brewers.
Danny, Jeff and the rest of the Brewers Lewisham team were so helpful as I am not a painter myself andI really didn't know what I needed in terms of paint volumes and accessories.
It was so lovely on the
weekend to see all the parents come together, getting to know one another, all
whilst painting and cleaning up the play areas.
Everyone enjoyed it so much - I have even had requests for a regular termly clean up weekends from parents!
From this one-off, mammoth painting weekend, I think we may have started a programme to work together as parents to help the school with any cleaning, clearing and small jobs they may want in the future.
The best part was hearing back
from the children, teachers and parents about how much they like the new
playground walls and how much happier it makes the playground feel.”
