Brewers Chester Are Putting Some Spring In Their Step

May 5th, 2025
A lovely river park just around the corner from Brewers
Chester, called Sandy Lane, is now looking much brighter thanks to the store’s
donation of leftover paints.
Sandy Lane, which is popular in the local community, had
been a bit neglected over the past year or so as it had been closed for works
on the water pipes.
Store Manager, Angela Heath, said:
‘We were approached by
Friends of Sandy Lane as a local artist, Nikki Pinder, wanted to paint the
steps down to the river to make it a bit brighter, so we contacted Nikki and provided
her with some Albany paint.’
Nikki painted a mural of locally sighted wildflowers and insects on the river view steps. She posted on Instagram to say:
‘Thanks
everyone saying hi and sharing your great stories about memories of this place
and thanks to @brewerspaints for
contributing lots of fab paint for this.’
Chair of Friends of Sandy Lane Park, Heather Swainston, said:
‘Thank you so much for providing Nikki with some paint for the River Steps project – we are so grateful for your support. It is going to look fantastic – quite a transformation!’
