Tractor Transformations! Donating Zinsser To The Farmland Museum

The Brewers Foundation were delighted to donate specialist paints from
Zinsser to The Farmland Museum, to redecorate some key exhibits.
The Farmland Museum, near Waterbeach, is an independent museum that shares a site with 12th Century Denny Abbey and together they depict rural life in the past in Cambridgeshire and The Fens.
From countesses and medieval monks to country craftspeople and farmers, their stories come to life within ancient stone buildings and converted farm buildings on a site rich with captivating artefacts, each revealing the history and heritage of the people of Cambridgeshire.
A dedicated team of over 40 volunteers, regularly help the museum to
achieve its charitable aims, and carry out important maintenance work when the
museum is closed during the winter months.
We were delighted to help with the works and donated Zinsser Allcoat in
RAL colours for the volunteers to redecorate a traditional farm cart and
vintage Fordson tractor, which hasn’t received a fresh coat of paint in over 10
years!
The Fordson Model N, manufactured between 1929 and 1945, had various colour schemes.
Early models were blue and orange and then fully orange before they were painted green during WW2 to blend into their surroundings.
A
combination of green and orange were chosen to restore the tractor to pay
homage to this history.
Museum Manager, Sarah Michael, said: "As a charity, our museum depends on the generosity of supporters like the Brewers Foundation to continue caring for our collection and preserving it for future generations.
Our
volunteers worked hard on this project over the winter and visitors have been
thrilled to see their favourite tractor and cart beautifully restored. We’re
incredibly grateful to Brewers for making this possible."
