Q: What is the difference between trade quality paint and retail paint?
A: Trade paint contains higher quality ingredients which gives greater opacity, depth of colour and colour retention. There is also a range of specialist trade quality products to ensure you have the right product for the job.
Q: What is the best finish for interior walls?
A: We stock a range of brands who have high quality emulsions for walls.
When selecting the right product for you, think about how durable you need the product to be and the sheen level you’d prefer.
Q: What’s the best paintbrush to use for my project?
A: We stock a wide range of brushes, suitable for a variety of different projects.

Q: What is Albany?
A: Albany is Brewers exclusive brand of trade quality paints.
Each finish is made to a high-quality trade recipe, rich in pigment and high-quality ingredients for superior colour depth and retention.

Q: How do I paint uPVC windows and doors?
A: You will need to ensure you carry out the right preparation and use specialist products.

Q: What is masonry paint and what type should I use?
A: Masonry paint has been specially formulated for use on the exterior of buildings and walls.
If your walls have fine cracks, it is better to use a flexible finish that will disguise cracking.
Q: How do I decorate a new log cabin?
A: There are a range of different finishes that can be opaque, translucent or clear that will protect and maintain your log cabin.

Q: How do I choose the right colour for my room?
A: Choosing the perfect colour for your space can be tricky!
With 1000s of colours to choose from at Brewers, we recommend using colour cards and brushout boards to narrow down your choice.
From there you will be able to purchase some testers to visualise the colour within the space.
We recommend painting samples onto lining paper and placing them around the room to see how light will interact with the colour throughout the day.
Don’t forget, if you have found the perfect colour on a cushion, dress, toy or something else, we can scan it and create a bespoke colour for you using our Colour Matching service.
