Problem

Drywall (also known as plasterboard, wallboard, gypsum board) is a panel made of gypsum plaster pressed between two thick sheets of paper. It is used to make interior walls and ceilings. Drywall construction became prevalent as a speedier alternative to traditional lath and plaster.


Stages

Stage 1 - Preparation

Make good any defective areas to match existing.


Ensure surface is sound dry and clean


If required, sand any filled areas to a smooth finish.


Stage 2 - Basecoat

Seal the surface using a suitable primer.


Stage 3 - Topcoat

Apply your choice of topcoat to manufacturers recommendations and allow to dry – 2 coats.
