Problem

OSB - Oriented Strand Board, also known as Flake Board, is a compression of layers of wood flakes formed in a specific orientation and then adding an adhesive.


Stages

Stage 1 - Preparation

Ensure surface is sound and clean


If any mould or mildew is apparent treat with a suitable fungicidal solution, rinse again with clean water and allow to dry.


Depending on surface substrate check condition and carry out any remedial works required to make sound.


Abrade with 100 grit Adhesive paper to remove any loose or flaking areas to create a key.


Stage 2 - Basecoat

Apply a suitable primer.


Apply a suitable undercoat.


Stage 3 - Topcoat

Apply a suitable topcoat.
